Guam - Students from the University of Guam released their latest poll asking the question: do you support raising the minimum wage to $10.10 over the next three years?  200 voters were surveyed in person. 64.5% responded yes, while 30% responded no and about 6% responded they didn't know.

On the minimum wage question, there was a coding issue and the data below is updated and corrected. Thanks to Frank Whitman at MV for pointing this out.

The data below reflects a 30% no answer, rather than a 24% for no answer.

Totals: 56+73= 129 for yes; divided by 200 = 64.5%

39+21= 60 for no; divided by 200  = 30%

7+5 = 12 for IDK; divided by 200 = 6%

The previous data contained a coding error. I think it happened when

the marginal (ie not yes; not no: answers were combined and this created a skew.)

The idk category contains one answer that was likely counted as a no vote also.

In future polls, we will eliminate this effect by using an "other answer" general category.
