McCreadie moving ahead to build new prison

by Ken Quintanilla

Guam - Senator Brant McCcreadie is moving forward with gathering support to build a new prison. He's written to Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo seeking her assistance to determine the scope, needs and costs of a new correctional facility.

"At this point if the chairman (Senator Ben Pangelinan) is not willing to work with us to offer solution I believe he becomes part of the problem therefore I went over his head to the congresswoman who in three hours wrote back to me with a response saying she would help and work with our office to not only look for the Army Corp of Engineer or the Bureau of Prisons to come down here and do a feasibility study but she would also help find federal funds to build this," he said.

He has also written GEDA seeking their help in conducting an economic analysis and feasibility study regarding the new facility's construction.
