AG stands up for JAG

Guam - Attorney General Leonardo Rapadas is standing up for one of his prosecutors currently under investigation by the Guam Bar Ethics Committee. At issue his assistant Attorney General who is also a Captain in the Guam Army National Guard serving as a Judge Advocate. 21 days after Captain and Assistant AG Jonathan Quan took the oath to serve, public law was enacted prohibiting the AG and attorneys in the Department of Law to engage in the practice of law outside of the agency.  AG Rapadas along with Assistant AG Quan have written letters to lawmakers to repeal the provision in local law. Rapadas wrote that those serving in the guard and or reserves should not have to choose between serving as an assistant attorney general or serving in the guard as Quan may have to do.

    GFD back up to 8 operable ambulances

    They respond to thousands of calls a year. With that being said, mechanical failures will happen from time to time, but the Guam Fire Department is back up to 8 ambulances serving the island daily. According to Fire Chief Joey San Nicolas, currently there are 2 that are serving as back up and 3 that are still undergoing repairs.
