Guam - Although small in stature, her heart is big. Carbullido Elementary School 2nd grader Daisy Carinu shows island residents that it is better to give than to receive, as today she supported relief efforts in the Philippines by donating $300 of her own money, money she received from her birthday in September.

"When I saw my money I thought I should give it to the Phillipines, because it's so much," she told KUAM News of her generous donation.  Daisy said of her gesture, "It's because I didn't really need it."

Daisy has some relatives in the Philippines and said that when she saw what happened it made her sad and donating the money made her feel good. Carbillido Elementary School began accepting donations for the Philippine relief effort just yesterday and were surprised when Daisy walked in with her generous donation.
