Senator asks GSA to procure additional police cars
Guam - Extremely concerned over the lack of operable police cars on the road, Senator Brant McCreadie penned a letter to the General Services Agency to see if the government can procure an additional ten police cars.
Several months ago the department announced that it is in a state of emergency. McCreadie said, "It's our jobs to give them what they need so they can do their job and do their job well and at the same time we want our officers our police officers not only to protect us, but we want them to be protected as well."
The freshman senator says funding for the additional vehicles would not be an issue as there is $350,000 in Compact impact funds for the ten that are under protest and another $400,000 was identified from Speaker Judi Won Pat's legislation.
