Guam - Colorado forensic psychiatrist Dr. Karen Fukataki has been appointed by the Superior Court of Guam to conduct a psychological evaluation of Chad DeSoto. The 21-year-old remains behind bars facing multiple murder and attempted murder charges after he went on a rampage in Tumon back in February. Three people died and 11 others were injured.

Dr. Fukataki has been tasked with reviewing the first psych eval that was conducted by Naval Hospital psychiatrist Dr. Michael Kim, as well as conduct a second evaluation that was requested by the defense. That is scheduled for November 2.

Another hearing is scheduled for December 18, when the court is expected to set the matter for trial.
