Guam - As the Decision 2012
general election results throughout the evening and morning continued to project
a 9-6 Democrat majority, Republican Party of Guam chairman Mike Benito was
obviously not happy about the situation.
"I'm definitely disappointed," he shared with KUAM News
from the headquarters in Tamuning. "We're definitely hoping for the
majority, we had some good candidates. It's nice to see we had some of our new
candidates come in and they're going to bring some real refreshing change - good
positive change to the Legislature. But again, we did have some candidates that
could have done some good thing.
"I was hoping for a majority."
Benito also added, "I know there was a real call for change.
You saw some Democratic leadership that kind of fell off - some of those kind
of entrenched leaders fell from where they used to be."
