Lawmakers Hit Voting File

Guam - Just before lunch lawmakers voted on the following measures during a legislative session today:

Resolution No. 486: As Introduced - T.R. Muña Barnes / B.J.F. Cruz

Relative to voicing I Liheslaturan Guåhan's (The Guam Legislature's) continued support for the full implementation of Public Law 100-229; and requesting that the US Secretary of Homeland Security, the Honorable Janet Napolitano, provide for the issuance of a China Visa Waiver Program through her parole authority and the issuance of a broader final rule for the Marianas Visa Waiver Program.

Bill 516:  v.c. pangelinan / J.T. Won Pat, Ed.D.

An act to amend Section 3 of Public Law 31-40 to extend the obligation deadline of the ARRA Trust Fund; to amend Section 2(I) of Chapter 1; to amend Section 2(IV) of Chapter 1; to add a new Section 14 to Chapter XI; to amend Section 13 of Chapter XII and to amend Section 6 of Part III, Chapter III all of Public Law 31-233.

Both measures passed with 14 votes. One senator was absent. Session was adjourned.
