Guam Shipyard seeking skilled workers

by Jason Salas

Guam - Despite the hard economic times of late, things may be looking up for workers having shipbuilding skills, as the Guam Shipyard is in need of around 100 machinists, welders and shipfitters. The company is seeking laborers with such specialized abilities to join its 300-person workforce for a variety of projects for Navy ships homeported in the Western Pacific.

Interested applicants may contact the One-Stop Career Center at 475-7000 or the Department of Labor at 475-7010.
