Guam - Matson Navigation hosted crisis communication training with key stakeholders today.  Matson's safety, quality and environmental affairs vice president Paul Londynsky says the purpose of the training is to forge partnerships and ensure the flow of services goes uninterrupted in the event of a crisis.

"If, God forbid, there's some sort of incident, even a natural disaster such as a typhoon or a hurricane, people want to know what we as a carrier are doing to make sure that their freight arrives, that their goods will make it on the shelves so that we can provide the service that we normally provide," he said.

Attendees included oil company representatives, the U.S. Coast Guard, Customs and Quarantine, Homeland Security and the Guam Police Department.
