Guam - The Committee on Rules meets this afternoon to decide the agenda for tomorrow's legislative session. KUAM News has confirmed that the committee report on the controversial nomination of Dr. Sam Friedman to serve on the Guam Board of Medical Examiners has been completed, which means that it will likely be go up for a vote.
According to the committee report two lawmakers are recommending not to confirm Dr. Friedman to the GBME, while eight members voted only to report it out.
Likewise Public Safety Chair Senator Adolpho Palacios confirms the committee report for John Salas to serve as fire chief has been completed. If his nomination is not voted on during this legislative session, Salas will have to step down because his appointment expires in the first week of April.
According to the committee report, six senators voted recommending his confirmation.
