Guam - GovGuam will receive a $1 million grant that will allow Rev & Tax to survey small businesses and collect data on insured and uninsured employees. The survey is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' exchange planning efforts.
The Affordable Care Act of 2010 authorized states and territories to establish health insurance exchanges. Guam would be eligible to opt in the exchanges in 2014 and should the island's public sector choose not to participate in the exchange, money will be used to supplement the Medicaid program.
The survey will allow DRT to determine who may be eligible on Guam to participate in the exchange.
