Guam - We should know tonight whether our power bills will be going up, the Public Utilities Commission this hour is meeting to discuss this very issue. It was in December the Consolidated Commission on Utilities approved the Guam Power Authority's request to raise the Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause by 17%.
That's about a $34 increase on an average consumer's bill.
GPA spokesperson Art Perez said, "We will see again what that rate will be tonight because since we filed oil has gone up and has gone down a little bit but mostly its gone up."
If the PUC approves the increase, Perez says it will go into effect tomorrow, and will be reflected on you March power bill.
