Guam - An old hat is returning to lead what few would doubt is Guam's most economically vital agency, as Pedro Leon Guerrero has been selected to be the Port Authority of Guam's general manager. Governor Eddie Calvo said he has high hopes for Leon Guerrero, who initially served as GM during the Joe Ada administration in the early-1990s, to both modernize and monetize Guam's Commercial Port.
His diverse career spans more than three decades, and includes stints in the Navy's surface fleet, along with the telecommunications, petroleum and hospitality industries locally.
Leon Guerrero is a graduate of Father Duenas Memorial School and the U.S. Naval Academy, and holds a master's degree from USC.
