Guam - Reacting to the Decision 2010 drama and the legitimacy of the membership of GOP members serving on the Guam Election Commission's board of directors, Republican Party of Guam chairman Jess Torres says it's time to move on, saying he believes he's followed the law. "I don't know what basis or contention they have, but I'm not going to challenge it."

Torres continued, "I don't make appointment to the GEC board; my understanding of the law as party chairman is I submit names to the sitting governor, who happens to be Governor [Felix] Camacho and the governor in turn makes the selection from that list hopefully that we submit...I really don't understand the rationale and I don't particularly worry about it, I think I've met my responsibility as chairman of the Republican Party."

Torres added that he turned in the names of Martha Ruth and Joe Mesa to Adelup early last week after learning of the concerns about their appointments.
