Public Health issues recall

 by Mindy Aguon

Alexia Olive Oil, Sun–Dried Tomatoes & Pesto Oven Reds frozen seasoned potato wedges are being recalled. The item isn't dangerous for most, but if you have allergies, beware -- It's being recalled because it doesn't have the appropriate warning label declaring that it contains pine nuts.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to pine nuts run the risk of serious or life–threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

Public Health has determined that the Oka and Micronesia Mall Payless were carrying the product and both stores have voluntarily removed them from shelves. No local injuries or illnesses associated with the product have been reported.
