Ronna Sweeney joined the KUAM News Team in January of 2007. Her news experience includes working as a morning anchor/reporter at KCBY-TV in Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon. Prior to moving to the South Coast, Ronna completed an internship with both “Good Day Oregon” and “The 10 o’clock News” at KPTV-FOX 12 Oregon.

Each and every Monday on KUAM News Primetime, Ronna's "Think Green" series teaches viewers how to live a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. The segment focuses on everything from local eco-conscious companies, to green living tips, to new earth-friendly products, and more.

In 2008, Ronna and the rest of the KUAM News Team were awarded an Edward R. Murrow Award for their special production "Survivors: In their own Words." "Survivors" tells the emotional stories of those who lived through the Japanese occupation on Guam.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and a minor in Spanish from Linfield College.
