Mike Phillips voted as Democratic Party chairman
The Democratic Party of Guam has itself a new chairperson. On Saturday, a little more than 1,000 democrats went to their respective precincts and voted in Attorney Mike Phillips as Party chairperson. (It should be noted that Phillips ran unopposed).
He steps into a position formerly held by Willy Flores, who stepped down after concerns were raised about his alleged involvement in a crime. Meanwhile, Guam's Democrats also voted for whom they believe should be Guam's six delegates and an alternate delegate for the upcoming Democrat Party convention this summer. Phillips will be sworn in officially as chair this Tuesday at 5:30 in the evening at the Guam Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
