Reacting to the unofficial results from this past weekend's Guam Caucus that gave him just a seven-vote lead over Hillary Clinton and allowed him to pick up two delegate votes, Barack Obama thanked the people of Guam. "I thank the people of Guam for making their voices heard and standing up for change," the Illinois senator wrote in a press release.

"Our campaign is based on the premise that change happens from the bottom up, no matter how far you may be from Washington. And on Guam, we've built a real grassroots movement for change with dedicated supporters from every village across the island. Under Democratic and Republican administrations, Washington has failed to keep its promises to the people of Guam. Yesterday, the people of Guam showed they are tired of the politics of the past and are ready for a President who will honestly address the challenges they face, and make a meaningful difference in their lives. I am honored that the people of Guam stood up for me. When I am president, I promise to stand up for you."
