While the Guam Education Policy Board prepares to conduct interviews with candidates for the superintendent vacancy, mediation continues between the board and former superintendent Luis Reyes. The board terminated Reyes for his failure to perform duties and responsibilities, but he filed a claim against the board seeking a half-million dollars in damages and requested mediation.

GEPB chairperson Joe San Agustin confirms there have been four sessions so far and another is scheduled for Monday. Meanwhile, the next GPSS superintendent is expected to be selected by May 19.
