In celebration of Independence Day 2007, the Navy is inviting the public to a massive celebration. "Freedom Rocks" will be held this Wednesday from 3-9pm at Polaris Point. The celebration features live entertainment, including the rock group Survivor, best known for the 80's mega-hits "Eye of the Tiger", "The Search is Over", and "Burning Heart". The group will perform two shows, at 7pm and 8:15pm, on the 4th of July.

There will be games, food booths and raffle drawings as well as a 10-minute laser light show that starts at 8pm. Photo identification will be required and all visitors are subject to search.

Accordingly, the following items are prohibited on the military installation: weapons, personal fireworks, backpacks, grills, glass containers, coolers, large bags, tents, audio and video recording devices, outside alcohol, pets, rollerblades, skateboards, and children's shoes with embedded skates.
