The Montessori School of Guam joins the Montessori Schools worldwide to celebrate 100 years of educating students. Director of the local school Anna Wignaraja told KUAM News, "It started with the primary group. That is 3 years to 6 years [old] and it's geared towards individual children. We don't put them all together to do the same lesson at the same time. Since there's a difference in ages as well, we have to gear it to their individual abilities and interests."The Montessori style of education has been in existence on Guam since the early 1970's.
