A 30-year-old man with a history of convictions is behind bars once again—this time, accused of using a stolen credit card to rack up thousands in charges. According to court documents, Jude Donovan Santos allegedly used a card he claimed to have “found on the ground” in tumon to make more than $4,000 worth of purchases, including jewelry.
The victim told police he only realized his card was missing days later when reviewing his account activity.
When the victim went to one of the stores where the card had been used, he ran into Santos—who was later identified by the store clerk as the person behind the transactions. Police say Santos admitted to several of the unauthorized purchases.
Santos, who has five prior convictions including theft and assault, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of property. He was booked and confined on $1,500 cash bail and faces up to six years in prison if convicted.
