Fifty-eight-year old Pierre Timothy Aguon, Interim CEO and Executive Manager of the Guam Regional Transit Authority, was arrested and booked on July 11 following a violent domestic dispute that occurred four days prior.

According to court documents, the incident happened on July 7 at a Chalan Pago residence. Aguon allegedly became aggressive after being confronted about suspected drug paraphernalia found inside his vehicle. He’s accused of grabbing the woman’s wrists, placing one hand around her throat, and pinning her against the wall.

During the altercation, Aguon allegedly told her, “You will go down. I can make people disappear,” causing the victim to fear for her life. She later fled the home with their children and obtained a protective order before relocating.

Aguon was interviewed by police with his attorney present and admitted to the argument and putting his hands on the victim, though he said he destroyed the drug paraphernalia.

He is charged with:

*Attempted Strangulation (3rd Degree Felony)

*Terrorizing (3rd Degree Felony)

*Assault – Recklessly Cause / Attempt to Cause Bodily Injury (Misdemeanor)

*Family Violence (Misdemeanor)

When KUAM reached out for comment from Adelup, the Governor’s Director of Communications Krystal Paco-San Agustin responded, “This is an employee matter that will be handled according to applicable law and regulations.”

Aguon has served as GRTA’s interim CEO since January. No word on if he has been placed on administrative leave
