Sanctuary Incorporated celebrates November as Sanctuary Month and launches new program

Sanctuary Incorporated is celebrating its 53rd anniversary this November by introducing a new program during Sanctuary Month.

Since 1971, Sanctuary has provided essential support to Guam’s youth and families, including emergency shelter and residential treatment for substance abuse.

Throughout November, Sanctuary Month will feature events like a Home Goods Drive, where the public can donate items for youth shelters, and The Gentle Room Project, allowing donors to “adopt” and revitalize shelter rooms.

Key events include:

Sanctuary’s new Guahan Youth Initiative, created with WestCare Pacific Islands, aims to improve support for homeless youth on Guam. 

With funding from US Housing and Urban Development, GYI will launch a Youth Action Board, empowering young people to help shape services for those at risk.
