iCare4 invites the community to a special concert this week to benefit Alee Shelter.

The non-profit has been a beacon of hope for women and children in crisis since 1981.

The concert, which will happen at Capitol Kitchen on Friday, will also celebrate the 25th anniversary reunion of Da Udda Band also known as D.U.B.

KUAM caught up with the band's vocalist Kevin Iwas Hita to hear more about the event.

“The band got together back in September of 1999. So it's been 25 years this year and we are very excited to get the band back together for a great cause to help raise awareness and raise some funds for Alee Shelter,” said Hita.

“We haven't played in the last 10 years. I think the last gig we did was probably at Ralphy's in 2014. We done a few gigs here and there but not without the actual actual members of D.U.B., but this time we are going to have most of the original members come back. We are arranging all of that so we can do this event for Alee Shelter,” he added.

The iCare4 Alee Shelter benefit concert with D.U.B is this Friday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Capitol Kitchen on airport road. Your ticket will include all-you-can-eat world class barbecue and bottomless beer.
