5.4 magnitude earthquake hits south of Guam

Multiple residents in Guam reported feeling an earthquake Thursday night.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the 5.4 magnitude quake struck about 75 miles south-southwest of Malesso.

It happened at 7:27 pm.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center confirmed there was no tsunami threat to the Marianas from the earthquake.

No major damages or injuries were reported as a result of the earthquake, according to Guam Homeland Security.
