Suspect in Amber Alert incident cleared of any wrongdoing
The man who authorities say triggered an Amber Alert on Sunday is now being cleared of any criminal allegations.
53-year-old Eugene Huffman was released from police custody.
This happened after investigators learned the woman who alleged Huffman kidnapped her child had actually fabricated her story.
That woman has now been identified as Katina Aflleje.
She was arrested on suspicion of child abuse.
The little girl in the case is now in the care of Child Protective Services (CPS).
Investigators learned Huffman took the child for her safety due to Aflleje's erratic state Sunday morning.
Aflleje has since been released from police custody.
The case is now with the Attorney General's office for prosecution.
