Congratulations to the winners of the 6th annual author & novel fair at Mount Carmel

Congratulations to the top three students who took home the win at the 6th annual author & novel fair.  

The competition was held Monday at Mount Carmel school in Hagat. 

A total of 106 students participated showcasing their favorite book and author. The students were also judged based on why they chose the book among other criteria. 

While all participants did a fantastic job creating their displays, three students took home the win. 

Congratulations to Nathan Galas, Siobhan Mafnas, and Dante Herrero.

The three were among those to receive the highest scores for their work. 

MCS officials said the event has fostered the love of reading in students and has promoted growth in research, reflection and comprehension, adding this project based learning approach demonstrates independent learning and an understanding of the written word.
