GDOE high school graduation dates, locations

The Guam Department of Education has announced some of the dates and locations for Class of 2023 graduation ceremonies. 

George Washington High School, 2 p.m., June 12 at the UOG Calvo Field House:

• Graduates must be at the field house by noon on the day of the ceremony 
•  Mandatory practice from 6 to 8 p.m., June 9 at the Mangilao baseball field near Santa Teresita Church. Tickets will be distributed to graduates.
• Mandatory practice from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the UOG Calvo Field House     

John F. Kennedy High School, 3 p.m., June 15 at the JFKHS courtyard: 

• The graduation ceremony is by invitation only. Tickets are required to enter the courtyard.

Simon Sanchez High School 2 p.m., June 16 at the University of Guam Calvo Field House:  

• Livestream at https://www.facebook.com/DOEGuam
• Graduates must be at the field house by noon. 
• The graduation ceremony is by invitation only and tickets are required for entry 
• Practice for Baccalaureate Mass: Practice for Bacc. mass will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes church.
• Baccalaureate Mass: Mass will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes church.
• Graduation Attire:  Graduates are to wear their cap and gown and closed-toe footwear. 
• Graduates are expected to dress appropriately under their gowns.
• Doors for ticketholders will open at 1 p.m.
• Helium balloons and air horns are prohibited in the UOG field house.
• Banners are not to be posted anywhere within the field house.

Southern High School 9 a.m., June 13 at the UOG Calvo Field House:

• Graduates must be at the field house by 8 a.m.
• The graduation ceremony is by invitation only and tickets are required for entry. 
• Graduation practice is set for 8 a.m., June 12 at  the SHS bus depot
• Baccalaureate Mass is June 16, at 4 p.m., at Agana Cathedral Basilica.  Attire is Sunday best with a graduation gown.
