One of the men accused in the disappearance and killing of Adam Messier was given a plea deal.
Defendant Brandon James Flaherty received an agreement from the Office of the Attorney General ahead of appearing before presiding judge Alberto Lamorena today.
He will review it before accepting the deal.
Co-defendants Curtis James Blas and Donovan Carriaga also appeared in court today. Defense attorneys said they have yet to get a plea deal from prosecutors.
The judge continued the Dec. 5 trial date and wants them back in court on Nov. 30 to determine what will happen next.
Only Blas remains in prison.
As we reported, it was in September 2017, messier threatened to report his roommate, Jason Alianza to the landlord for illegal drug activity. Messier went missing before a witness later allegedly admitted Alianza who is now deceased, along with Blas, Carriaga and Flaherty brutally beat messier and dumped his body.
