A pair of armed robberies were reported within minutes of one another in two northern villages overnight.

Guam Police Department Officers responded to Charice Market on Birandan Langet in Dededo around 8 p.m., Wednesday. The robber was armed with a pistol, according to GPD Spokesperson officer Berlyn Savella. He stole cash and drinks before taking off in a dark-colored sedan.

About half an hour later, officers were called to another robbery at Sons’ Convenient Store on Route 9 in Yigo.
Police said the masked man held the store clerk at gunpoint and demanded money. He left with the cash also in a dark-colored sedan. No one was hurt in either robbery.

Savella said the victims in both cases gave officers similar suspect descriptions, and investigators believe it could be the same man involved in the two robberies.

In the Dededo robbery, the suspect was last seen wearing a baseball cap with a white logo, a blue long-sleeve jacket that had a banana print design, dark pants, and slippers. He is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches to about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds with a dark complexion.

In the Yigo robbery, the suspect wore a dark shirt, black mask, black hat with a white logo, and dark-colored pants. He is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches to about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds with a slim build.
