Jury being assembled for Vianney Hosei, accused of taping rape of young girl

Jury selection is underway for Vianney Hosei, he is one of three men accused of raping a young girl and capturing it on videotape. He faces 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Possession of Child Pornography and Dissemination of Child Pornography.

According to our files, back in 2019 detectives were tipped off and found a video circulating social media of the female minor allegedly being raped by three men. The suspects had left the island, and authorities issued warrants for their return.

Hosei was taken into custody at the airport.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the defendant's jury selection is occurring down the street from the superior court, in a new stand up courtroom along Route 4.
