$1.6M in tax refunds, $6.39M in stimulus checks to be mailed

About $1.6 million in tax refunds were processed by the Department of Revenue and Taxation and will be mailed out this week. That equates to 525 2019 tax refund checks and includes refunds garnished to repay
government debts for error-free returns filed on or before Oct. 14, 2020.

Also, Rev & Tax processed 5,965 EIP 2 checks totaling approximately $6.39 million, which also were to be mailed this week. To date, 71,176 EIP 2 checks totaling approximately $75,379,338 have been processed. March 19, 2021 is the last date that EIP 2 payments will be made.
