Star Marianas Air has an additional flight taking off from Guam to Rota.
Starting on Dec. 24 until Jan. 2 there will be a double in the amount of passenger seats available. The additional aircraft will follow the same daily schedule of departing Guam at 1 p.m. and arriving in Rota at 1:30 p.m. According to Star Marianas Air President Shaun Christian they have been operating out of Guam for seven years offering regularly scheduled flights daily.
"We established the company to really try our best to provide reliable, sustainable, safe and affordable inter-island transportation and we are Tinian based air carriers (CNMI based air carrier) and we are doing our absolute best to connect the islands and hopefully assist the economy's in growing and continue to look for ways to build market from Guam to Rota," he said. "One of the things we have done is selected an aircraft size that has exempted us from having to go through TSA screening so it really makes the overall experience at the airport a little bit shorter than it would be if we had a larger aircraft on it so we are hoping to stimulate more demand and get some more people traveling interisland and enjoying the beauty of all of the Mariana Islands."
Star Marianas Air on Guam is based out of the light aircraft commuter facility located in between the United Airlines ticketing office and the main terminal. Tickets can be purchased online at starmarianasair.com.
