Mariano Anthony Quinata allegedly sped off during a traffic stop

Mariano Anthony Quinata was arrested early yesterday morning after leading cops on a chase from Maite to Agat.


At around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, police suspected the driver of a green Nissan Sentra was intoxicated after noticing the vehicle drifted between lanes and ran a red light.
Court documents state Quinata did pull over for a traffic stop and then allegedly sped off once the officer stepped out of his patrol car.

He allegedly continued his erratic driving, weaving in and out of traffic while police gave chase. He eventually turned off onto a dirt road where those inside the vehicle jumped out.
Quinata, who was found to have several outstanding warrants against him, was charged with one count of eluding a police officer.
