It was an early morning arrest for one man suspected of driving while drunk on Sept. 6.

Officers responded to the report just after 9 a.m. at a Dededo gas station where a white Coca-Cola truck appeared to have run off the roadway, court documents state.

The truck, driven by Joseph R. Unpingco, appeared to be straddling the curb between Route 1 and the gas station, according to court documents.

Police noted Unpingco smelled of an intoxicating beverage and that his face was flush and his eyes were watery and bloodshot.

Unpingco agreed to take a Field Sobriety Test and failed, unable to follow the 'Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus' part of the test, according to court documents. He also couldn't complete the 'One Leg Stand' and the 'Walk and Turn' part of the test.

He also refused to take other tests, including blood, urine and a breathalyzer.

Unpingco was charged with Driving While Impaired as a Misdemeanor ad Reckless Driving as a Petty Misdemeanor.
