The man placed under arrest in connection to last month's deadly crash in Yona is being held on $10,000 cash bail. Javon Jermaine Taitano, who was the driver, appeared in court for a magistrates hearing.

He is charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide.

Court documents state the group had just left from a party in Manenggon before the crashed occurred. The accident claimed the lives of passengers Joziah Blas and Timothy Uy. Both were students at Simon Sanchez High School.

GPD's Highway Patrol investigated concluding the roads were wet that night, and that the driver was speeding - going upwards of 76 miles per hour before he lost control and crashed.

Taitano is set to return to court for a preliminary hearing on November 26.
