FD's perfect season caps 4th straight football championship

The Friars and Gecko's suiting up for a chance to be crowned champions. FD struck first when Nick Anderson hit his brother Brian on a fade route to the right corner of the end zone for the first touchdown of the game. G Dub's Shelby Meeks gave the Gecko's good field position after picking up some big yards off the punt return.

GW knocking on the door after getting the ball to the goal line. Jose San Miguel punches it in for the game tying touchdown. PAT was good 7-7 tie after regulation.

In the first overtime period FD running back Kein Artero punched it in on FD's possession. Ball goes over to the Gecko's, quarterback Ricky Macias even the score on the QB keeper from a few yards out.

Heading into the 2nd overtime GW had possession first and fumbled on the quick screen to the receiver. FD recovered the ball setting up the potential game winning drive. Friars call on Artero again and he delivered going in for the game winning touchdown.

FD beat the GW Gecko's in double overtime 20-14. The streak continues for the Friars, 40-straight wins.

4th consecutive championship title for the maroon and gold.
