Looking for something different to do for Valentines? The Guam Nature Alliance is hosting Heart-A-Scientist today from 6:00-8:00pm at Horse and Cow in Tamuning. The event is almost like speed dating - with without the dating and romance- instead it offers all the fun talking about science and the environment.
Heart-A-Scientist will be a unique social event for Guam’s adult community to connect with scientists on Guam to learn about their work in a relaxed, informal setting. “Heart-A-Scientist is a fun way for people, especially local college students, to get to know scientists on Guam and how their work benefits the community,” says Linda Tatreau, Coordinator of the Guam Nature Alliance. The Guam Nature Alliance is a partnership network of local natural resource agencies, educators, and community organizations that host community events to provide fun experiences that promote environmental awareness and stewardship on Guam.
As the first of its kind, Heart-A-Scientist will bring scientists of different backgrounds including, biology, botany, marine biology, chemistry into one place available to talk to the public.
