Drones prohibited from national parks for the moment

 by Jolene Toves

Guam - If you plan on going the War in the Pacific National Historic Park and you have a quadcopter, you might want to leave it at home.

The National Park Service announces that unmanned aerial vehicles such as drones, model airplanes and quadcopters are no longer allowed to launch or land at their parks.  The only instance in which it would be allowed is you are approved in writing by the superintendent.

The prohibition is an interim measure until the National Park Service can study how these unmanned aircrafts could impact park resources, park values and visitor safety.
