Guam - The Department of Education is taking notes.
Specifically, DOE is learning the accreditation process from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Accreditation provides schools a framework for improving teaching and learning. With each cycle six years, schools are required to complete a self-study indicating their practices on the school site.
The WASC accreditation team then visits the schools to evaluate their approaches to improving student learning, strengthening instruction, supporting personal and academic growth, and managing success.
The three-day training rounds out today at John F. Kennedy High School.
