Guam - Turning to youth baseball the 13-year old Babe Ruth All-Stars will be heading to Utah to represent Guam in a regional tournament. The boy's are excited to be representing the island in their sport and look forward to the competition.
George Salas, Team Manager, said, "We are heading to Utah representing Team Guam and we are going to be competing in a regional tournament against other teams from different parts of the states. We have been practicing these kids on whatever field we can. They have been working on fielding, batting, pitching, catching and as you can see we are made up of kids from different villages. We are just trying to get them out there and give them an experience of a lifetime. Most of the kids we have, this is their first time ever going out there for All-Stars. Like I said I just want to take them out there because this is going to be an experience of a lifetime for them to compete against other people from different states. I want to thank everybody from the organization and the people that donated to us and the parents who have been coming out to all of the practices. If there is anybody out there who would like to donate anything for this team, as far as money or anything they can contact me at 482-2388 and my name is George Salas the manager of this team."
