Guam - A press conference for PXC 32 was held this morning at the Hilton for the media to come out and meet the fighters competing in Saturday night's event. 7 fights are scheduled for Saturday night with the double main event hi lighting the night between 2 Korean Top Teams Fighters going up against Ryan Bigler and Baby Joe Taimanglo. Both fights are title fights with 2 belts on the line including the vacant welterweight title given to the winner between Bigler and Lim Hyun Gu.
Bigler told KUAM Sports, "I feel really good for this fight and I'm really looking forward to this and I have wanted to fight this guy for a long time for my first fight coming into my 3 fight deal with the PX. Gods granted me with the opportunity and now its up to me to take the opportunity and take it into my hands. With that I feel really well prepared overall in all aspects of the game but most importantly right now I'm mentally focus and that's really important to me. As long as my heart, soul and mind is all together I feel like I'm ready for the battle. On paper we're matched up pretty well, he may be 2 inches taller than me which is pretty cool to me because I'm usually the taller opponent and now I get to fight a bigger guy. In this fight the match up it looks really well, we are both 9-2 and he is a well-rounded individual but I have a game plan for this guy."
Baby Joe will put his title on the line after coming back from an injury. Taimanglo will look to hand Jang Young Kim a loss and retain his 145-pound title.
Taimanglo said, "Back in March after my injury I healed up and then went out to Las Vegas for my camp and I was honored to be in the same camp with Dominic Cruz and a whole bunch of UFC and Bellator Fighters. For my first two months there I gained a lot of experience and knowledge training against a lot of world-class fighters. Coming back to Guam and finishing off my camp with the Spike 22 guys has made me a little bit more stronger and more focused. These are the guys that I started with and sparred with. I would like to thank the Ground Fu guys as well to always push me and help me and give me the guidance to be a champion still and I will put that to the test this Saturday."
