Guam - During today's budget hearing Department of Education superintendent Jon Fernandez made it clear that should George Washington High School go into double-session, it will not be for the entire school year. He stated, "We'll put it on the record that the double-session will be a temporary situation at GW High School, and it will last until the work is completed.

"And we anticipate that it will be completed sometime before the end of September."

An official announcement on whether GW will go into double-session is expected any day now. DOE is working to secure the $150,000 needed for bussing and other issues needed for the temporary schedule change.
