Guam - Guam's first-ever Bark for Life is set for this weekend. According to event chair Faye Varias, the bark for life event is a spinoff of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Varias says the event pays tribute to cancer survivors and our canine companions who are often part of the family support system.
"Come on down, even though you don't have a dog," she said. "It's a family-friendly event, there's going to be face painting for the kids a ton of demos. Even if you don't have a dog, it's going to be great fun so just come on down."
To register your dog, visit the American Cancer Society on Guam office in Agana from 8:30am-4pm or call 477-9451. Registration is $15 for the first dog and $10 for a second dog. Registered dogs receive a Bbark for Life bandana and goody bag. The event is slated for Saturday, June 2 at the Governor's Complex in Adelup from 2-7pm.
All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
