Guam - Simon Sanchez High School's gym got a facelift, but not by the Department of Education's Maintenance Division. According to senior Diana Valencia, her class chose to renovate their gym for their 2012 Legacy Project.
"Cleaning and scrubbing and painting forty bleachers, 56 louvers, using over 50 buckets of paint big and small," she described of their effort. "This was only led by 96 students with the support of one teacher."
The students unveiled the renovated gym Friday morning as well as thanked the various businesses and individuals who provided supplies.
