Guam - Another member of the Guam National Guard has been charged with making a fraudulent claim against the United States. Air National Guard member 28-year-old Shalene Crisostomo signed a plea agreement admitting to submitting false documents in order to get a housing allowance while on active duty status.
Crisostomo admitted to applying $1,900 a month to occupy her parents' home in Yona, when she was actually living there rent-free. Crisostomo has agreed to pay back the $41,000 to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service. She is the fourth member of the Guam National Guard who has been charged with the crime in recent months.
The Guard has not provided any comment on the cases.
