Guam - The Pacific Islands Club made a generous donation of beds and furniture to the Department of Mental Health today. PIC marketing and public relations manager Trina Cruz says the hotel made some room renovations a few months ago and was left with the extra furniture. She says the donation will be used in the department's eight new residential homes that will promote community integration for those with disabilities on Guam.
"DMHSA is all for the betterment of the community as is PIC and when they open up these homes," said Cruz. "It's to guide those with disabilities and we felt they are the perfect partner that needed such a large donation."
The federal management team's Dr. James Kiffer along with PIC general manager Ken Yanagisawa were both present during the certificate presentation.
