Stomp cast visits St. John's School

by Joan Aguon Charfauros

Guam - Several members from the cast of the Broadway hit Stomp paid a visit to the students at St. John's School this morning in Upper Tumon. The children joined-in to make some happy noise.

"I'm learning how to make music and it's pretty cool how they make music with just like natural stuff," one student said, with another adding, "I got to learn some stomp movements by the Stomp cast."

Stomp is a high energy and sophisticated band of body percussionists that take over the stage with awesome rhythms using just about anything and everything like wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans and hubcaps to make some noise.

You can watch Stomp currently playing at the FD Pheonix Center in Mangilao. The performances are tonight through Sunday at 6:30pm with additional matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday only at two o'clock in the afternoon.
